The cover of the first book is entitled 'Dr Chases's Last Complete Works'. It is in reasonable condition, except for the flyleaf, which contains a lithograph of the writer - it is torn on the lower corner section. Also the last unprinted page is loose and folded. This is the Memorial Edition, which was dedicated to the Twelve Hundred Thousand Families throughout the United States and Dominion of Canada. The author's preface is dated March 25, 1885.

The second illustrated book 'Robb's Family Physician' has a loose front cover and spine, which are in poor condition, although the remainder of the book is reasonable. It is inscribed inside 'To Harriett from her Sister Lillie with love'. It contains 934 pages and was sold by subscription only. It is dedicated to the Thinking Masses of all English-Speaking Countries. The Author's Preface is dated May 1884.
