William Moninet (1937 - 1999) was born in Louisiana, and was an American impressionist artist. He was widely known for his oil paintings of clowns, and his images depicting sad and happy clowns are still continually used worldwide. The majority of his paintings were completed during the later stages of his life, and have been gaining popularity and acclaim as they are featured more prominently among exhibits and showcases. This is an original oil painting on canvas by William Moninet of two clowns smiling among a backdrop of brightly colored balloons.
