The series was first published by Image Comics beginning in August 1999 for a twelve issue run. It was created by Pat Lee. The story follows a group of five heroes searching for an ancient artifact, the mysterious Darklyte Armor, which could defeat the vampire hordes of Datara. These hordes, led by Lord Malagen, have defeated the dwarves, elves and humans living in the eastern part of Warlands. These three issues are in good condition.
