54 Cards NZ Cursive PLUS Rime Practice!

It is very difficult to locate Cursive Handwriting Resources, so you will be pleased to see these Handwriting Cards!!! (The document which will be emailed to you as a .pdf file, contains 54 cards, each 19 cm x 9 cm)

These cards are suitable for students being introduced to moving from ligatures to full joining of the appropriate letters, as outlined in the Ministry of Education Handbook ~ Teaching Handwriting.

Rather than just 'letter by letter' practice, many teachers like to incorporate another language aspect into their Handwriting time.

This set of Handwriting Cards uses the practice time to also reinforce Rime

Each card features 12 words using a different Rime.

Each word has a set of four guidelines so students can easily see how each letter is formed in relation to the letter it is linking to or from.

There are cards for two and three letter Rimes for a, e, i, o and u. (There are more combinations for 'a' than the other vowels which reflects the number of rimes beginning with 'a' in common usage.)

Also included in the resource is an Alphabet card that can be glued into Student books and some Blank cards and lined Practice Paper

Print and laminate the cards
or use as a digital resource by bringing the page up on the monitor.
