After bursting onto the international scene in 1990 as a fresh-faced 19 year old, Adam Parore became an institution behind the stumps and an iconic figure in New Zealand sport.

Regarded as the best wicket-keeper in the world, he frequently clashed with administrators and polarised public opinion with his reluctance to conform.
