This polyethylene foam tape is designed for use on purlins on to which polycarbonate roof sheeting is installed. The tape prevents heat build up under the sheeting. The foam also reduces squeaking or cracking sounds caused by different expansion and contraction rates between the sheeting and its supporting structure. It also eliminates the possibility of the sheeting bonding to any painted frame sections.
