Orpingtons are big, friendly dual-purpose birds originally developed in the UK, and for many small farms Orpingtons are the only way to go! They're friendly and cold-hardy due to their fluffy plumage. The Black Orpington is the most popular of colours, the buff, Lavender and white with white legs, are rare.

Photos supplied are of parent birds and are a true Lav to black breeding (they're not splash orpingtons). This colour has come about through the recessive Lavender gene which dilutes a black bird to a slate grey and to produce a lavender chick each parent must carry lavender. These chicks will hatch lavender and some black carrying Lavender.To continue improving type and feather quality need to be breed to a black orpington line.

We mostly run Orpingtons and love to admire and retain the beautiful standard of this heavy breed.

I have candled my own eggs and Fertility is very high. And we have had many successful hatchings of Lavender chicks.

We have nearly finished with this breeding pen and for a limited time will sell some of this breeding.

We like to post all eggs on a Monday -Tuesday ensuring that eggs don't get stuck in transit over a weekend. We pack eggs very well with eggs wrapped in tissue placed in an egg carton and then placed in a box with shredded paper.

Eggs can be damaged in transit and we really try to ensure our packaging can save damage. We pack our eggs with the greatest of care. Our eggs are picked up from our door and will take one, two days metro but may have to allow an extra 48hrs for rural dealing through Fastways Courier. This Auction is for 6 eggs that will be packed well and handled with care while at our house. No replacements offered.
