A unique opportunity to own a complete Lister CS 10/2 generator set, as supplied by Lister in 1953.

This unit was recently removed from an old power board building where it had been used as a standby unit.

I carefully removed the unit myself over 3 days with the intention of going 'off grid' where we live, but the simple fact is I am unlikely to do anything with this for the foreseeable future, and to be frank, need the money!

They don't make them like this anymore, and I very much doubt there is another one as good as this anywhere in New Zealand.

The engine is a highly desirable Lister 10/2 twin cylinder, water cooled diesel engine, with crank and electric start.

The control board that comes with it shows only 537 hours from new, and this is supported by a hand written log book.

The overall condition is wonderful, and I am pretty sure the engine is completely untouched from new.

Rated at 10hp @ 650rpm.

The generator is a 240 volt single phase unit providing a power output of 7.5kva according to the plate on the unit.

The engine and generator are mounted on an original cast iron base, and the original Lister control panel is included in the sale.

This auction includes the complete genset, control panel, crank handle, diesel tank and stand, copper water tank and stand, part exhaust pipe, battery box for wall mounting, new brushes for the alternator, original wiring diagram drawn in 1948, original Lister CS instruction book, CAV injector service book, original sale brochure, log book, and original quote document when sold new.

In terms of freight, we are in Central Otago near Alexandra and the genset on it's own weighs 1.75 tons.
