The magnetic base is a measuring jig for setting dial indicators, digital indicators, test indicators (DTI's) and the like at any measuring position for use with any metal equipment including lathes, milling machines and drill presses etc

The on/off switch makes it convenient to easily move about and position correctly on any ferrous (commonly said 'magnetic') surface. It has several mounting options for your indicator. It can accept lug mounted indicators or stems with 6mm and 8mm diameters.

The magnetic stand can attach to both horizontal and vertical ferrous surfaces. The base also has a shallow vee bottom for sticking to large round surfaces. The rod clamps have a positive action and are quickly moved to any position. There is a spring loaded fine adjustment screw.
