WARNINGS

• Keep from young children! If two or more are swallowed they can be lethal, by attracting across gut tissue and puncturing it.
• Magnets can pinch skin and cut clothing.
• Keep say 2 cm from sensitive devices e.g. credit cards, pacemakers, magnetic recording.

CONSTRUCTION:

• Special construction, with the magnet surrounded by a steel “pot”, or "cup". This concentrates the magnetic field to a narrow ring area on the countersunk side of the unit.
• The highly-localised field pulls very well to flat, smooth steel, eg a washer or thin sheet steel.
• Not suitable for pulling from a distance, nor for pulling towards another magnet. Use our standard magnets for these applications.
• Still works when set into a steel surface.

• These are the cheapest magnets of this size/type on Trademe. I sell magnets at a fair price. If magnets are advertised significantly cheaper then they are likely to be of a lower grade, or have inferior plating, or minimal customer service, etc. (There is always a way to sell a product cheaper, especially when made in China!) They are extra cheap in this auction because there is no centering plastic spacer between the magnet and its "pot". They still pull up to around 13Kg.
• Dimensions: 25mm diameter, 8.1mm thick, with 5.2mm countersunk hole.
• Neodymium magnets are about 10 times more powerful than traditional material magnets.
• Finish: Ni/Cu/Ni plating.
• Safe from being chipped (but don't over-tighten mounting screws)
• Unsuitable for motors, etc.

• Securely close doors/cupboards/drawers, especially in boats & caravans. (Magnet pulling to STEEL.)
• Wall holders for tools etc.
• Hold panels & fittings to walls.
• Hold fittings to steel walls.
