This dress is hand made from Australian designer -Amanda Garrett - Snowflake.

This shimmering mermaid gown has exquisite vintage style cap sleeves. The whole dress has a heavy silk slip underneath and on top, beautiful Italian cobweb sequin, beads and lace. The handwork put into this dress justifies the price I paid and effort put in to get this dress.

I saw this dress on a bridal magazine and instantly fell in love with it and hunted it down. Unfortunately it could not be purchased in NZ so had to fly to Australia to buy it. It cost me just over $5000 AUD and our wedding was in March 2015. This dress has been featured in many bridal shows and magazines.

I love the elegant, vintage feel of this dress. The designer made this dress to feel antique. The colour is off white / silver from the silverish beaded, sequence overlay.

I would have tried on over 40 dresses and the difference I felt with this dress is it’s not too perfect. The fine details of each bead is unique. It felt like there was a lot of love and work put into this dress. It’s hard to explain, but I felt like this dress was not a regular dress that's machine sewn, purchased off the shelf from a shop but more a hand sewn work of art.

I had it professionally altered in New market costing me $515 to have it taken up and a padded built in bra put in. The bra can be easily taken out if you have a bigger chest. I am usually a small B cup, but with the padding it made me look like a C cup. :) I am 5’2 and wore 5 inch heels so would fit anyone 5’7 and shorter.

This dress is a size 8. I am usually a perfect size 8 and fit my just right (except for the chest and length of dress as I explained above). Please remember this is a second hand dress and was worn once on my wedding but there will be minor wear and tear.

On my wedding day, I felt a million bucks in this dress and hope someone else to feel as I did on their most special day.
