This kit will mean that you can chose either the Telecom "Connection Only" or TelstraClear PDQ "Basic Connection" option when you sign-up. This connection is usually free.

A wired-in master splitter will be needed for broadband ADSL/VDSL if: Your home has more than 5 telephone jacks, or You have a monitored or medical alarm system, or Your phone extension cord between the wall and the modem will be longer than 10 metres.

If you already have ADSL with a basic connection, then this kit will: Allow you to get rid of all those unsightly in-line filter things hanging out every phone jack around the house, and give you the best possible ADSL connection speed by isolating your older non-ADSL compliant phone wiring.

The kit consists of the following items: 1x Single port, wall mounted RJ12 socket for your ADSL/VDSL router connection. 1x xDSL wired-in master splitter (Telecom approved) 1x 20M roll of Cat5e data cable 8x 2-way gel filled joiner 6x Cable saddles 1x Instructions covering connection diagram, wiring instructions and connector pin-out vs cable colour chart.

Note - You will need to provide your own cutters, pliers, drill, hammer and screwdrivers to complete the job.
