If you are an avid embroiderer then you will know the advantage of working with multiple needles. If the project you are working on has 5 or 105 different thread combinations & colour-ways then working with a project card and needles loaded with each colour-way not only saves time but keeps you organised, adding to the overall enjoyment of your stitching projects.

Most kits supply only 1 x needle, which is frustrating because you have to keep threading and un-threading your needle every time you want to change colors.

Cross Stitch/Tapestry Needles have a rounded, blunt needle tip and a large easy threading eye.

Needle size is really about personal preference, but as a general guide Size #24 is suitable for 14 x count Adia fabric, 28 count Evenweave fabric

The purpose of a cross stitch needle is to open the weave of the fabric so the floss can easily pass through. If the needle is too small, the floss will fray a little more each time it is pulled through the cloth. On the other hand, too large a needle can distort the small holes on even weave fabric with a thread count higher than 18.

Cross Stitch Needles are used for Counted Thread Embroidery including Cross Stitch, Hardanger, Blackwork. Size #24 needle is also good for beading as well.
