These orange tubes C8's opened up the astronomical hobby back in the 70's. They were affordable and portable.The optics with the C8's still have remained primarily unchanged up today's versions, just upgrades with coatings and mounts. The optics on these classic orange tube versions are usually very good if in good condition.
