Please note this is an II generation in near new conditions, different glass construction inside as the first model.

Check the US website, you will know how much Pentax Da series lens's price increased. If you travel less than twice a year, then I don't think you need a Da*16-50. This 18-55 II will do the job comfortably, plus it's much more lighter, smaller and cheaper :). In my opinion, there is no other reason to use a Zoom lens apart from being convenient.

Plus, this lens's performance at at around 35mm is competitive to many prime lens. Also the image quality is very nice at F8. A very good walking around lens.

Reason for selling, I travel less than once a year so don't really need a wide-angle-zoom lens, but I'm sure it could be a good buy for someone else.
