Normally $5, I have overstocked these a bit so need to free some space up!

This is a boost mode LED driver for series strings of 1W LEDs.

Give 12 Volts at the input pins, you can power from 4 to 7 1W LED in series.

In my experiments I found they do get a bit warm with 7 leds (driver seems to reach 50-60 degrees, 12v input) - personally if it was me, I'd stick a mini heatsink (see my other listings) on the bottom if I was running it with 7 LEDs full time.

While these are rated at 12V input with 4-7 LEDs, I have briefly tested up to 20V input with 7 LEDs, and down to 7 volt with 3 leds (remember, input voltage MUST be lower than the total forward voltage of the led string), the driver does appear to get significantly hotter at these out-of-spec levels so in my opinion a mini heatsink would be a must there. The bottom of the board has plenty of space to stick a mini heatsink.

THIS IS NOT A MAINS POWER DEVICE, low voltage only.

The output is 300mA (+/- about 20mA) constant current.

This is a boost mode driver - the input voltage MUST be lower than the total forward voltage of the leds.

The input is the 2 pins, these are made to plug into MR16 sockets, but you can simply desolder them and use wires, input polarity does not matter so that you can also supply 12V AC, eg from an halogen lighting 12V power supply.

The red wire is output positive, the white output negative.
