Description
A 24.500 to 29.999 Mhz AM / FM / SSB transceiver, and my first ham radio.
Outputs around 50W on FM and SSB, and around 20 watts carrier on AM ( see pictures )
Can be configured ( via the use of a jumper ) to use the 40 NZ / AU CB HF channels, the 10 + 12M ham bands, or 24.500 Mhz - 29.999. Currently it is in the 24.500 - 29.999 Mhz setting.
Has 5 memory channels which I used to store PSK / JT65 frequencies and AU Channel 35 LSB to check for DX openings.
The front panel dials lets you change power output, mic gain, RF gain, squelch, clarifier ( both tx and rx ), audio volume, and the frequency.
The frequency dial can tune in either 100, 10, 5, or 1 Khz increments.
It also has an IF filter and noise blanker, but I have not needed them at this location.
Comes with an HM-36 microphone I bought off ebay ( I used the origional microphones plug to make a digital computer interface )
This radio is pretty simple to use, and seems to receive well. I only use this radio with digital modes on the 10 Meter band using a home built radio to PC interface, and I have had a number of contacts all over the world using a dipole hung 4 meters high.
The radio comes in the original box with an HM-36 microphone, a mobile mount, and the power lead.
Any questions welcome.
Note: Only to be sold to qualified amateur radio operators and used on amateur frequencies. The winning bidder will need to provide proof of their amateur qualification.
