With this chip you can install a hacked region free bios on your Dreamcast, allowing you to play games from any region. Or using a hacked bios you can load an alternate operating system,such as Dreamshell to boot from an Hard disc or SD card. Dreamshell is an operating system that allows booting of games from a HDD or SD card as well as loading other homebrew applications.
This chip can be soldered directly on top of the existing bios chip.
