1 x Improved compatible thermal fuse to suit GHD hair straighteners.

These fuses with the fat wires are the new improved higher temp version, upgraded from 216 deg C to 227 deg C

The ceramic fuses with the thin wires are 240 deg C, very easy fit in 4.2b and later models but not what I use in my repairs, I use the fat wire fuses.

Some upgrade fuses require filing of the element holder.....the ones with the fat white wires don't.

The fuses with the thin white wires will fit the late model Mk 4.2b straighteners with the metal retaining clips on the element backing plates without any modification. They will also fit the earlier models if you file a bigger hole in the backing plate.

GHD fuses do not fail because they are rated too low, they generally fail from old age or the straightener being dropped when hot. There is little point in any fuse higher rated than these, if something did go wrong there would very likely be melting of the heater element backing plates creating an even more expensive repair than necessary.
