GHD model 4.2B I have had these for 4 years. They were purchased from Rodney Wayne in CHCH at Northlands Mall. (think I might still have the box!) They are faulty and will turn off and on (and beep every time it goes from on to off) when the swivel cord moves. Sometimes they do it more that others. I enquired about getting them fixed and was quoted an approx. price of $50-$70 apparently the swivel cord is just loose but not 100% sure. Plates still heat up great with no scratches apart from one mark (in photos) Its birthday time and I was gifted a new pair so if anyone wants these for parts or wants to get them fixed they can have them.
