The Norton 4000/8000 grit Water Stone is an excellent stone for honing cut-throat razors. The 4000 grit side is used to hone the razor edge, setting up a bevel with the correct angles and removing any small chips in the cutting edge. The 8000 grit side is used for polishing, finely abrading the razor edge to a mirror finish to give a smooth comfortable shave.

The stone is 3" by 2" by 1" (203x76x25mm) and comes in a plastic case for protection in between use. The case also doubles as a stone stand, with rubber feet and retainers on the lid to stop your stone from moving when honing.
