Description
The Acapulco chair was born in age of suave sophistication and cool. The 1950's. A time when substance was still as important as style. Pure comfort and pure style.
The Acapulco chair was originally designed in Mexico and legend has it this chair was conceived by a French tourist whilst seated on a cold hard chair amid several alluringly comfortable woven hammocks which were strung from nearby palms.
By combining the Mayan weaving techniques of the hammock into a metal frame the Acapulco chair was born. The allusive french tourist’s name remains a mystery to this day but the chair bares the name of the location of its birthplace.
This Acapulco chair is woven by hand. The frame is made from solid steel and our 20 mm PVC comes in any one of 6 colours including: Red, White, Blue, Yellow, Orange and Black.
