This is an unusual and interesting plant, the leaves have a shiny metallic look, stronger in the sun than in the shade. It is a low ground cover which grows best in shade but will take full sun if conditions are moist. Prefers damp but not water- logged soil. It has small deep blue flowers over the spring/summer Frost hardy This is a good plant for attracting bees and butterflies. Slower growing than other ajuga. the photo shows a plant growing in my garden. The plants for sale are in 5cm pots
