Cordyline strictas are cousins of our Cordyline australis or cabbage tree. ‘Showoff’ is an Australian cultivar and what it is showing off is attractive purple colouring at the tips of the foliage, fading out to green further down the leaf.

It is a clumping variety, which make it well suited to growing in containers.It can also grow in the garden to enhance your tropical look. It will grow to 2m, with the clump reaching about half a metre and is an easy-care evergreen.

'Showoff' is hardy to most soils and climatic conditions, but is frost tender. It will grow happily in either full sun or semi-shade.

My plants are about 85cm tall and currently have only one stem. They all have quirky kinks and bends in the stem, but I think this gives them character! (Their next stems will be straighter). They are planted in PB6.5 bags.
