Rare Antique Low Serial Auburndale Timer Pocket Watch - Circa 1878

CONDITION: Excellent Working Condition!! Keeps good time and is in excellent condition.

CASE: Is a plain open face case with a hinged back cover and snap-on style front cover.

DIAL: Is a white enamel dial with a sweep seconds hand to the center, a 1/4 seconds dial located at 6 o'clock and a 10 minute register dial located at 12 o'clock.

MOVEMENT: Is an american made, 5 jewel, key wind movement with a lever escapement. It is nickel with a three-quarter plate layout. It is signed "Auburndale Timer, Patented May 28 1878" and is numbered "908" out of around 6000 which were produced by the company before it closed in 1883.

HOW TO USE: Wind the mainspring using the key. Start it by winding the crown anti-clockwise, stop it by winding the crown clockwise. Reset (fly back) all hands to zero by pushing the crown down.
