The easy way for ANCHOR lifting, great for ROPE/CHAIN combination, simple, very effective. I have used this same method off the WEST COAST (Kawhia) over the past 5 years and the ORIGINAL is still going strong. My boat 6 metre Fiberglass uses a kewene anchor, 8 metres of chain, 10mm rope ( Anchor & chain weigh 13.5kg). ANCHORING in 60 metres + is no longer a chore, this little beauty makes it a breeze, real easy on your back. SO MUCH CHEAPER THAN A CAPSTAN. Made in NZ by NOSLOC PRODUCTS, hot dip galvanised.

Brief description of how this works. Note the direction of your anchor rope, clip the device and drum/bouy onto your anchor rope, drive off at a 30 degree angle to your rope, the bouyancy of the drum/bouy will lift the anchor, when the chain is thru the big loop and on the boat side of your drum/bouy stop and pull the whole lot across the water to your boat, much much easier than a verticle lift.
