Daihatsu 3cyl 27hp marinised inboard diesel engine

Have just repowered my 30' yacht and removed this engine. It's a 1983-ish Daihatsu CL, 3cyl, 27hp, 993cc. Popular diesel inboard for small boats due to its high power to size ratio.

Marinising gear & other fittings:

• Bronze(?) heat exchanger fitted with 2 zinc anodes
• Galvanised steel wet exhaust manifold (brand new - fabricated just last year and zinc anode shows very minimal wear)
• Raw water pump
• Alternator (thought to be 60 or 70amp)
• Flexible engine mounts (new last year)

Recently replaced fresh water pump, timing belt, thermostat & cast thermostat cover.

Engine was running when removed, although has had a few issues - appears to be in need of a head re-build. Should provide a cost-effective alternative to a marine engine to anyone building or restoring a small boat. I'm only re-powering because I plan to sail offshore, and wanted the reliability of a brand new marine engine for that reason.
