Description

So I am relisting this due to timewasters and people who don't read properly it appears.

So lets be clear this has NEVER been registered in New Zealand it is an import and I am NOT selling it as a currently legal NZ road car. This is a genuine RS2000 Drop Snoot not a mash up of standard Escort parts made to look like one. It has a Burton prepared block 2.2ltr with modified head and twin 45 side drafts fitted it flew in its day being clocked at 147 mph that's about 235k ( I think it was about 185 BHP in a car that barely weighs anything. Bilstien suspension, anti dive kit, AP Lockheed 4 pot calipers on vented front disks optional rear disk brakes and cossie callipers, spare 5 speed MT75 gearbox (unmodified) Five original un scratched RS alloys Still has its Fishnet recaros and heaps of bits I cant try and list. Unfortunately it has been sitting around for the past few years untouched and will need some TLC, I was going to have it as a retirement project, but my situation has changed. It was restored in the late 80,s and had new inner and out rear wheel arches A keen person will need to replace front floor pans and inner and outer sills as well as some other bits but it is doable if you are keen. I reckon 4 days of cutting out and welding new panels in. I did a lot of these restorations years ago. Realistically if you look on trademe you could break it up and sell it off in bits for 10 times what I want for it but I cant do that to it, and I would rather see it repaired. One in worse condition than this sold for £10,000 in England so maybe I should ship it back. If you want to talk to me about it send me a message and we can discuss it or come and have a look for yourself. However please don't waste my time if you don't recognise this as an opportunity to buy something that you will never get again its already not for you, and don't waste either of our time. Its a unique opportunity to buy a very rare car or collection of rare parts, either way you should already have an idea of what its worth.
