Manifold insulators - thermal insulating spacers mounting between upper and lower intake manifold. Made from a heat blocking composite it will increase power by keeping the intake cooler, & increase low end torque by increasing runner length.

Our insulators are made from composite material with thermal conductivity of 0.29 W/mK, opposed to aluminium, with thermal conductivity of 150 W/mK; Difference - aluminium conducts heat 500 times higher then our composite material!

The 12mm manifold insulator will conduct an amazing 1087 times less heat (100,000% reduction!) than a .5mm steel gasket so it becomes v.difficult for the engine to heat up the manifold, therefore more power for extended periods (i.e. considerably fewer heat soak issues, which is especially noticeable on turbocharged cars)!

Our composite material also exhibits high stiffness and compressive strength, can withstand temperatures up to nearly 150C, and has a thermal expansion coefficient very similar to aluminium to increase sealing capabilities. Spacer can also withstand boosted conditions with ease.

Included in the auction is a pair of manifold insulators, longer manifold bolts and gasket sealer. All you need to install the insulator.

Installation is very straight forward, requiring only the removal of your upper manifold to install the manifold insulator.
