ANGLIA CORTINA ESCORT OHV ELECTRONIC IGN DIZZY

NEW Electronic Ignition Distributor to fit the 4 cyl OHV 1000/1100/1300/1500 and 1600cc Kent motors used in Anglias, Consuls, Cortinas and Escorts from 1959-81. It replaces the original FoMoCo Motorcraft or Lucas dizzy. See my other auctions if your classic Ford has a 1.6L or 2.0L OHC motor.

A great replacement for a worn out dizzy. The hall effect electronics are all inside the dizzy and it uses a simple 2 wire hook up. No more unreliable points and condenser ignition, resulting in easier starting, increased performance and lower fuel consumption.

This 12V negative earth only distributor is fitted with centrifugal mechanical advance and is available in two Lucas compatible types; 45D4 with vacuum advance for standard cars. 43D4 without vacuum advance for performance cars.

Supplied as a 43D4 or 45D4 model with either a Top Entry Cap or a Side Entry Cap. Please specify on winning the auction which model and cap you require?

This distributor is designed to work directly with original and replacement 12V Standard and Sports coils 2.5 Ohms plus primary resistance and Ballast Resistor coils 1.5 ohms plus. Do not wire directly to lower resistance coils like Bosch GT40, Blaster and Flamethrower, as that will burn out the ignition module and void the warranty. It needs to be installed by a person with a multimeter, timing light and auto electrical skills.
