1955 Nelson building Polytechnic Caravan

Built by Apprentice carpenters in Nelson 1955 ,Excellent workmanship! This Ole girl has had a total makeover inside and out ... tongue and groove Rimu floors (sanded and varnished) ,rounded cabinetry,totally functional ,steel windows , all functioning ,We have had butanol placed on the roof so its absolutely water tight ,its been completely rewired,(final inspection for electrical certificate scheduled for next week)relined, a lot of cabinets have been rebuilt, Ceiling has been rebuilt and relined, some partialinternal reframing ...table drops down to a double bed ,squabs for this are currently being recovered ,sofa at other end turns into 2 bunks, we are taking it in for a warrant but we are not sure on the weight senario as opposed to be road legal ,tyres are brand new ! We have spent a lot of money on this ole girl to get it back to its former glory ,its an absolutely classic caravan of yesteryear
