Ducati Darmah SD900 1978

This is an excellent project bike for someone. It needs a general tidy up to make it into an appreciating classic bike. This duck tail model is quite sought after for its style and history. This one seems to have come out of Australia in 1988. Has an Australian compliance plate that has 7/78 on it. Frame #DM860 SS 902811 and Engine # 902875 DM860. I brought it in 2008 and it had been in storage since 2003. Rego is on hold, so easy to licence once you have a wof.

I rode it a few times but it was not going to get a wof with non-compliance brake lines and the homemade pipes (very loud). Has a set of used Contis on it now. Pulled it apart to restore but have no time to finish it, so re-assembled to make sure it is all there. Have painted the wheels and replaced the tyres and wheel bearings. Had replaced the started motor and sprag bearing to get it going in the first place. Comes with heaps of spares as pictured, including brake kits and rev counter. Have a full set of decals, excluding the stripes of course. The indicators are Honda that I was going to adapt to fit. Bike lift, magazines and workshop manuals all included, but will not sell anything separately unless the new owner doesn’t want them, so please do not ask. Haven’t bleed the brakes as they need the kits in them, so a waste of time at this stage. Tried to start it but is just back firing, so the timing must be out somewhere. Had been going, so probably nothing major. Has the sought after side stand and a centre stand.
