Kawasaki KLR 650 2006

Used to tour SI. Was dropped at slow speed as shown in photographs. Selling on behalf of friend. Runs well. No known issues. Viewings welcome in Ashburton. Before it was used for the tour the previous owner gave this description as below: Bought this 2006 KLR in 2011 with 1400km, for a trip around Oz. Added ~$2500 worth of aftermarket trinkets for its adventure (see list below). I rode it 22000km around Oz over 2 months in spring of 2011. done 20,000km since in NZ. I felt it was fully run in at ~5000km (idled quieter and more smoothly). It runs the same now. If you stay below 5000rpm, It has had fresh oil each 5000km, and a new filter each 10,000km. I checked the valve clearances at 33000km: They were: Exhaust L = 0.17mm Exhaust R = 0.17mm Inlet L = 0.14mm Inlet R = 0.13mm

• all mid-spec. ….I decided to check them again at 50,000km. It's on its second chain and sprocket set. Front tyre has ~50% left, and the rear ~65% left. WOF xp 29 Oct 16, license 29 Feb 16. New battery fitted 3 days ago (Motobatt AGM). Safe range is 400km. Range at 80km/h is ~500km. Can get 80km on the reserve – at 80km/h – without using the “emergency” fuel in the right hand side of the tank.
