FORD F1 1948

FORD 1948 F1. 3/4 ton pick up. Imported 2011, California USA.
Modified/engineering by The Hot Rod Shop, Whangarei .

Has HQ front end, 302 Windsor & C4, 9" Diff.

Fully rebuilt HQ front end. New bushes, ball joints, super low coil springs, wheel bearings, brake rotors, recon. calipars. New shoes.

Total new brake system, including pedal/box, master cylinder, proportioning valve, lines, Dot 5 fluid. Brakes bled. Hand brake, drive shaft & safety loop - new,fitted and working. Acelerator pedal and cable set up.

C notched back chassis. New shocks & cross member. Diff mounted top of springs. 9" made to suit. New axle bearings and seals. New brake shoes and wheel cylinders. Sway bar fitted to back. New oil in diff. Enough travel in suspension to lower rear another 1 inch with lowering block and front 2 inches with lowering stub axle.

Seat belt anchorages fitted.
Mustang/Bronco sump & pickup on engine. Tilt steering column, C10 Chev.Has a key, is locking.Gear shift,indicators ,horn on column. New steering joints and D shaft. Gear shift linkages made, fitted and working.

Engine & gear box came with the truck, ex USA. Have not tried to run engine, as it needs dizzy, exhaust manifolds, starter motor & leads. Has 4 barrell manifold and carb. There is no wiring at all in this truck, and no speedo cluster. Have tail gate.

All engineering work finished. Done by Tony & Dave Henwood, Hot Rod Shop, Whangarei - where I have been a customer for 30 years.

Very little rust in this truck. Everything fitted new.Steering, brakes,engineering finished. Quality workmenship & parts used. No Jap crap. No Pom rubbish. No disappointments.
