Description
A really neat and quite rare Fiat twin cam. Silver paint has some crazing mainly on roof and tailgate from age but car has no rust to be found except a wee bit by back windows. Would tidy up nicely with ease. We bought this 2 yrs ago as found our Subaru boring however had starter motor go so spent $500 first on starter and front suspension and drove for a very short while before clutch started slipping under pressure. Engine has always run well so only had oil changed but not tuned. Has Weber carb and air filter. Parked for long time then finally replaced clutch and flywheel costing $1800 all up. Bit much to spend but worth keeping one of these on the road. Driven as 2nd car a bit since and so much fun to drive. Sounds like a Fiat should and handles open road or hills well. Cool interior with stitching needed on drivers seat only. 1 window winder missing. Heater works but fan switch loose, new battery fitted. Tailgate does not stay up
Tidy this up and it will be a great wee classic. I don't like small cars but enjoy driving this. Was really for my girlfriend but bought her a later model fiat Stilo when the clutch went as needed a reliable car for our kids to get to school. No power steer on these so a real drivers car. 5 speed manual. As of late it's been taking a while to warm up and run smoothly so will be time for a tune up. Goes great once warm. Coughs and splutters at low revs when driven off until warm but fine once warm. Not sure why but as it runs great when warmed up guessing its nothing serious. Good acceleration from a 1600 and no smoke etc.
Pretty dusty in photos as has been in storage unit as I've been driving my Rangie. In storage now but will take it for a run and clean up at weekend.
