Selling with $1 reserve due to numerous buyers falling through and or wasting my time.

I am currently overseas and have been for 4 months hence the WOF & REGO lapsing. Car still runs well, engine is solid as is everything else to my knowledge. Encourage all to come and try. Car is most definitely worth more than $1,000; I just haven't the time or patience to be dealing with people wasting my time any longer so gambling on the fact that there is a legitimate buyer out there somewhere.

• LEFT HAND DRIVE-

Previous owner was a mechanic, has been serviced and kept full of oil since then (1.5 years ago.)

• Alternator refurbished 4 months ago.
• Both rear tyres replaced 22nd December 2013 (both new)
• Oil filter replaced 178,000 KM
• Both front ball joints replaced March 2014 Can provide receipts for above.

-Car runs well, haven't had any issues with the engine/drivetrain. Timing chain makes slight noise starting until oil pressure increases (2 seconds) - was this way when I bought it, have been told by two mechanics that this is a non-issue.

-Handles well, is fun to drive although not overly powerful due it only being a 1.9L Left hand drive - virtually everyone will comment on it. It isn't that different to driving on the right except drive-thru can be slightly annoying depending on the length of your arms. Parallel parking is a lot easier. Fully legal as car is over 20 years old. Issues:

• No hood ornament, never had it to begin with sadly. According to the Mercedes dealership you can get a new one for $160
• Rear windows without handles to open/close - the sockets exist and they do open and close just no handle. Selling on behalf of a friend who has gone to Vietnam. Viewings and test drives welcome
