I purchased this Datsun off the Grandson of its original owner, it is in extremely good condition.
This is the deluxe model of the 1200 which featured a deluxe trim, nicer interior and front disc brakes. It is New Zealand new, Japanese assembled.
Everything on this vehicle works. The Radio, clock, heater, cigarette lighter and interior light. The interior is neat clean and tidy. The factory carpet was a bit tired so it has brand new carpet and underlay as well as in the boot. Have also kept the original carpet.
It has been garaged pretty much its whole life so the body is rust free and really straight, there's a couple supermarket dents here and there but overall very good. It was re-sprayed in 2001, the paint is nice and glossy with no signs of any rust creeping through. I have also degreased and under sealed the wheel arches.
Mechanically it's good and runs nice. The gearbox is smooth and shifts well with no crunches or notches. For piece of mind when I purchased it I had the radiator and heater recored. It has had all the fluids replaced with quality oils including brake fluid and coolant, K&N air filter, new plugs, dizzy rotor and fuel filter.
The factory suspension felt like operating a small marine vessel. So I have fitted Munroe gas shocks all round with Dolby springs up front. It has had a recent wheel alignment and now drives and holds the road very well. All the factory suspension is there so it can be put back if need be. The wheels are 15 x 6 from an early 80's Toyota Supra they have been reconditioned, polished and fitted with 195/45 Toyo Proxy tires which are brand new. The factory 12 inch wheels, hubcaps are included.
Everything that has been done to this car has been done properly and to a very high standard with a view of putting it back as close to original spec as possible. If you would like to arrange a time to view please contact me. Thanks
