Oldsmobile 88 1962

Welcome to the auction of my superb 1962 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 4 door pillarless sedan.

This 50 year old car has a dream history, it doesn't get much better than this.

Sold new on the 9th of April 1962 to Tillie Silvesky of Whitestone, New York, it was used by Tillie for her weekly visit to the shops and church until she stopped driving in 1998.

The mileage was certified on 5/10/98 as 29147 miles. I also have certification of 28790 miles dated 17/4/92.

Tillie donated the car to charity where it was auctioned and subsequently incorporated into a private car collection. She was driven a mere 200 miles whilst sitting in the collection for 13 years. The mileage as of today is 29452 miles. The car has always been garaged.

The car has not been restored. It has had a high quality dual stage repaint and the chrome has probably been redone as it is perfect, but everything else is original. A total time capsule.

The interior is unbelieveable. The dash looks like it has never been touched, the seats have only recently had the original factory plastic removed revealing 50 year old untouched upholstery. The carpet is original and does show signs of wear buts its pretty good and all intact.
