MARK WALTON, Head of Woodwind and Lecturer of Clarinet and Saxophone at the prestigious Sydney Conservatorium of Music, studied music first in his native New Zealand and then in New York and London. At the age of 18 he joined the Opera and Ballet orchestra in Cape Town, South Africa, as principal clarinettist, before returning to England to pursue a solo career giving concerts, master classes and broadcasts in 17 countries. He has recorded 5 solo albums.

Mark's mission is to make clarinet and saxophone playing exciting and enjoyable for the largest number of people. He travels extensively inspiring everyone he meets, running music camps, directing workshops, giving master classes and performing concerts.

With his students now performing and teaching all over the world Mark has drawn on his wealth of teaching experience for this new series of teaching and playing material. He knows what works - all his arrangements have become standard repertoire for clarinet and saxophone ensembles everywhere.
