New Zealand copy of “Love me Tender” on RCA label. B side. “Any Way You Want Me” 78 rpm. I have had this in my record collection for many years, I have never played it. It was among some records I acquired a long time ago. Held on to it as a curio only. I don't think there would be too many around. (correct me if I'm wrong) Recorded in 1956. In the USA the song hit #1 on the Billboard charts the week ending November 3, 1956, remaining in the position for 5 weeks and reached no. 11 on the charts in the UK. "Love Me Tender" also reached number three for three weeks on the R&B chart. Condition: Record has lots of surface marking and scuffing, but no heavy scratches. No cracks (as 78s are prone to) I believe it is the original RCA sleeve, which is not torn or split.
