A simply stunning BIG Antique Jardiniere!
Beautiful decorative work - looks gorgeous with a big leafy plant in it.
Highly glazed rich deep Cobalt blue fluted rim and upper band and lower band decoration.
Raised lightly gilded beaded trim separates these bands from the body decoration
Round bulbous "orange peel" soft blue body with sprays of "enameled" green leaves and white and apricot flowers highlighted with gold.
The inner is an unglazed clay colour.
8 1/4" or 21cm high Approx 10 1/2" or 27cm widest.
The base stamp; "Langley Saltware Glaze": impressed "Patent No, 8687" in black print.
Additional impressed stamps I cannot make out. No chips or paint wear; 2 light superficial faint lines in glaze in base.
