In preloved but good condition with some cutlery marks. One plate is a brighter colour and 26cm in diameter with the newer backstamp. The other two are 26.5cm in diameter, are paler or have less black iron powder in glaze? have older mark.
Please go on to Paul's website as he describes all of his glazes well.
Tenmoku Glaze - Paul Melser Pottery Another traditional Chinese/Japanese glaze, the red colour of Tenmoku comes from the surface oxidation of the iron in the glaze as the kiln cools down.
Traditionally the red is called Kaki and the name Tenmoku is reserved for the glaze when it is black. In New Zealand, the whole family of iron rich glazes are called Tenmoku.
