I have here a beautiful Satsuma Vase or Jug in the Greek style. The main back ground colour is a flat green. It is decorated the Sacred White Herons standing in swamp grass water way. This picture is quite obviously a scene at night. The moon is lightly outlined in the backdrop of the three birds whilst they preen and forage. On the back of the Vase, is a single bird foraging. This piece is hand painted. The pattern is raised to the touch. There is no makers mark to its base. Dated around 1940’s. The condition is excellent
