This Survival Bandana is printed with some basic outdoors information including setting up a campsite, basic knots, first Aid, weather conditions, waterborne diseases as well as tips for hikers and campers. Made for the USA wilderness it provides interesting campfire reading on bear and mountain lion safety, Snake and scorpion bites. And it is all printed on a bright Orange bandana.

The bandana is an extremely versatile item. This larger, soft but strong cotton bandana is not the cheap bargain shop kind. It can be used as a sweat band, a "dew rag" to protect your head and back of neck from the sun (see photo), soak it in water then wear on your head or neck to keep you cool in the heat. Cut off a small piece and light it as tinder to start a fire. Use it as a sling, to tie a splint, as a dressing, a bandage (see photo) or tourniquet, to soak up dew for emergency water, to filter sediment from water, a nose and mouth cover for cold wind or dust or camouflage for hunters, when folded several times you can lift hot pots from your camp fire, a cloth, a towel, a napkin, or you can just blow your nose into the thing. One of the simplest and best multi purpose items any bush or emergency preparedness kit should contain. I carry at least two.

Bright Orange: Use as an emergency signalling flag to mark your location. Stay in visual contact with other group members. Hunters, hang it from your kill when carrying to be easily seen by other hunters. Compliments Blaze Orange hunting clothing and packs.
