What is in a Warm Pad?

1. H2O (water)
2. SAT (Sodium Acetate Trihydrate)
3. A dime-sized, stainless steel disc

Flexing or snapping the metal disc in the pad creates a seed crystal that starts a chain reaction causing the Pad's content to crystallise and generates heat. This Warm pad will warm up those frozen fingers or hands in a snap.

This is accomplished by placing the pad in boiling water for 5 to 10 minutes until all of the crystals are melted. Once completely liquefied, remove the Warm Pad from the water and store it until it is required. The Warm Pad should remain liquid as it cools. If crystals form as the pad cools it has not been boiled long enough and should be re-boiled. Never store the Warm Pad in freezing or hot temperatures. This may cause harm to the vinyl on the pads.

There is no limit as to the number of times a Warm Pad can be used. Warm Pad can last for many years. Don't cut, puncture or burn the Warm Pad. By wrapping a towel around the pad will extend heat life. Avoid over boil the pad. Don't attempt any other method to recharge the Warm Pad.

Note: The Warm Pad must be in its liquid state and below 122 F or 50 C before it can be activated. Make sure the pad is not too hot or it will not activate. If a pad is too hot, it will not properly crystallise when you try to activate it. The liquid will turn cloudy and remain in liquid form. The pad will not activate if it is above 54 C (130 F).
