Rock Racks are New Zealand made by Tech1 Industries (formerly trading as Ayers Industries). Our racks are of much higher quality than cheaper imported racks on the market. You will notice the difference between a Rock Rack and a cheap import immediately. Dont get sucked into buying a cheap rack, go for quality, you will be pleased you did.

The tilting racks are designed to allow rear door of hatchbacks/station wagons and SUV to be accessed with rack fully loaded with bikes. Simply remove the 12mm pin to fold the rack down and lift it back up and re-install pin to put back.

Suitable for 1 7/8" and 50mm towballs Bolts to tow ball with two 12mm Cap Screws that are at a 30 degree angle to ensure rack locks tightly to tow bar. Allum key tool provided.

The main feature that sets this Rock Racks apart from the rest is the shaped prongs. This design creates a cradle like shape and provides great protection from scratching at the front and prevents a bike from falling off the back if a bungee chord or strap breaks. The padding on the main stem gives additional protection to you bike frame.

Arms are locked in place by a 12 mm high tensile pin that locks when arms are both up or folded down.

The rack has a rings at top and bottom to hook support strap and bungee chords etc for securing bikes as well as the swivel preventing bracket to prevent rack twisting on draw bar.

All racks have a powder coated finish for durability.

A support strap should be used on any rack carrying 3 or more bikes. The rack itself is easily strong enough but most car tow bars are not so is required to prevent the car tow bar from bending. These are available for an extra $25 with Rack.
