Whether you’re shredding powder, threading tree lines or boosting backcountry kickers the 106 handles it all with ease. Slightly stiffer than mid-flex they lean towards performance while still offering plenty of forgiveness making them perfect for intermediate and advanced skiers who want a one-ski quiver. The ARV 106 is built around Armada’s Pop-lite core, a lightweight wood construction with high-density hardwood stringers, resulting in an impossibly lively ski with unrivalled pop. While Spin Tip construction in the nose and tail are designed to reduce swing weight which keeps the ski balanced and agile. The AR Freestyle rocker blends reverse camber in the nose and tails with traditional positive camber underfoot. This allows the ski to charge with ease through unpredictable snow but hold a solid carve when required and because you’re not flexing against the camber in the nose and tail it’s easier to butter and press the ski. When combined with the “Elf-shoe” reverse sidecut the result is a ski which has the float of a larger ski in powder but the turn radius of a narrower, shorter ski on-piste and hardpack. This makes it great for skiing switch in powder or laying down nose butters while remaining confident and manageable on icy groomers. The AR50 Sidewall is comprised of cap construction in the tip and tail with full sidewall underfoot. This helps to balance performance with reduced swing-weight and increased durability. The capped construction of the nose and tail offer increased flexibility meaning that the ski is more relaxed upon entry and exit of turns.
