Ideal for intermediate and advanced skiers. Built around a multi-layer wood core which combines two different densities of wood. In the binding area underfoot, a dense Ash wood core is used, while the rest of the ski utilises Poplar. The dense Ash underfoot give the bindings secure screw retention and stability, while the softer poplar sections create durability and pop. Volkl tailor the flex pattern for each ski model to match the desired performance characteristics. The full sidewall construction maintains fantastic edge hold throughout the turn while simultaneously helping to absorb vibration from ruts and uneven snow pack. The P-Tex 2100 sintered base uses high performance materials, ensuring maximum speed, agility and durability. Due to the high level of wax absorption, abrasion resistance and durability the base retains excellent gliding characteristics throughout the life of the ski. A metal laminate comprised of titanal, an aluminium alloy with high strength-to-weight ratio, runs the full length of the core, providing lightweight, accurate performance meaning the ski stays obedient and manageable through uneven snowpack and crud. The full rocker camber gives the ski a continuous curve from nose to tail when it’s weight-loaded. This helps to keep the ski afloat in deeper snow while also reducing the instances of catching your edges by raising the contact points. Topped off with tapered nose and tail which moves the widest points of the sidecut closer to the centre of the ski.
