Description
We’ve often wondered what would happen if you crossed the Artifact with the Gang Plank; well, the Rome Buckshot is the answer. This serious, hard as nails park, jib and freestyle board makes short work of handrails, butterboxes, kickers and everything in-between. Coming in bang on mid flex, it’s perfect for intermediates and above who want a board that can confidently and competently handle all the freestyle abuse you can throw its way. Built around Rome’s Pop Matrix core, combining Poplar throughout with two strategically placed Ash inserts to create longitudinal stiffness with lightweight strength and pop. This keeps the board feeling obedient and responsive without being overbearing or sacrificing its playful character. The SinterTrue base provides reduced friction and increased wax absorption over standard extruded bases, meaning you can charge faster on the mountain and go longer between services. The edges are heat treated to ensure they remain durable and resilient against impact damage often associated with rails and boxes. This reduces the change of big edge dings or worse, a blowout. Combined with rebound sidewalls which help to absorb collisions offering a second line of defence against impact. Basalt, a volcanic glass, is forged into thin plates which are then positioned under the binding inserts. These impact plates are designed to stop core compressions on heavy landings by soaking up the excessive energy, this helps to increase the longevity and life of the board. A straight, 90-degree biaxial laminate delivers the best of both worlds; quick response thanks to stiff torsional rigidity with plenty of nose-to-tail flex keeping it fun and playful. The Buckshot gains supercharged performance thanks to the single-barrel HotRods, strategically placed bamboo rods which focus energy into the nose and tail which help power the board in and out of turns and provide massive pop. The traditional positive camber gives the board unrivalled control, pop and stability in all terrains. This makes it a great
