Description
This quality print depicts the engine bay of the BRM P61 that Jackie Stewart raced so successfully in the Tasman Series in 1966. This was the first time that V8 power had been used in the Tasman Series and, even though it gave away more than 1/2 a litre to the Coventry Climax engine used by the other competitors it proved that a well driven and powerful V8 was a very capable weapon.
The Tasman Series was an international series for single seater racing cars with engines up to 2.5 Litres held in the Southern Hemisphere summer between 1964 and 1975. This very successful series attracted top F1 talent like Jim Clark, Jackie Stewart, Graham Hill, Phil Hill, Jack Brabham, Denny Hulme, Piers Courage, Chris Amon and Bruce McLaren among others, in current F1 cars.
This print is one of a limited edition of 75 printed on heavy art paper suitable for framing and the low resolution photo does not do the finished print justice.
Each print is individually signed & numbered by the artist.
Standard print size is A3 but prints are available on request from A4 to A1 (price on application)
